I am a retired Ambulance Paramedic and Furniture Maker/Designer. I have also had some military experience. Living in Brighton now, I have returned to my main passion of sailing. I used to own my own boat while working as a Paramedic in The Isle of Skye in Scotland . I found it was a great way to relax from the pressures of the Job. I am qualified to RYA Day Skipper ( practical) and RYA Yachtmaster ( theory). I have a SRC/GMDSS licence and have attended the RYA diesel engine maintenance course and sea survival course. I am a qualified NHS Paramedic so a RYA first aid certificate is unnecesary. I am about 1000 miles into my Yacht Master exam eligibility phase and need about another 1000 nautical miles to qualify so any medium to long distance cruising opportunities would be most welcome. I am a good cook, a non smoker and have a good sense of humour.  I am told I am easy to get along with which I think is important in the close confines of a boat. I am available a lot more now as I'm basically semi retired so I could sail any at time during the week. Would love to cruise over to France,the Channel Islands of further. Would share the fuel/gas costs and provide the food. If you interested in sailing with me please do not hesitate to get in touch.
